A Culture of Giving: Keller Williams Responds to Devastating Floods

| June 1, 2015 | 0 Comments

Barely a week after RED Day, Keller Williams Realty’s global day of service, disaster struck in the form of ravaging floods in Texas and Oklahoma. The storms have left thousands homeless, caused millions of dollars in property damage and threaten more devastation to come.

Keller Williams is answering the call.

For Keller Williams associates and family members who have suffered losses, KW Cares is providing emergency aid. (The KW Cares Crisis Line is being staffed 24/7. For assistance, call (866) 591-2737 or email kwcares@kw.com.)

For members of the community trying to put the pieces of their lives back together, Keller Williams associates are volunteering their time, labor and money:

  • Buses of agents are traveling from Houston, San Antonio and other locations to volunteer in hard-hit areas like San Marcos.
  • Local market centers and KWRI staff are organizing donation drives, staffing resource centers and clearing debris.
  • Associates are putting together hygiene packets, purchasing supplies and raising funds to assist with community clean-up efforts.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for being a part of rebuilding ours! What an amazing blessing it is to be a part of this company!”  – Kellie Clark

KW Cares Executive Director Kathy Neu, Keller Williams South Texas Regional Director Wendi Harrelson and other KWRI leaders participate in a call with disaster-relief organizations.

“The KW team is awesome! Thank you for your response to the needs of our Wimberley family. It is humbling to be in business with such an amazing and benevolent group of people.” – KW Farm & Ranch Director Kasey Mock

If you would like to contribute to Keller Williams Realty’s local disaster relief efforts, KWRI has set up a (non-tax-deductible) donation page.
