If you’ve turned over a new leaf for 2013 and it hasn’t taken hold just yet, don’t despair. It may take more time than you expected.
Most self-help gurus tell you it takes 21 days to create a new habit. In Gary Keller’s new book, “The One Thing,” he cites new research from the University College of London found it takes 66 days for new behavior to become automatic and ingrained.
So, whether it’s exercise, a new diet, lead generation, or anything in between, keep going. It’ll really start to kick-in when you hit route 66!
