News from Rick DeLuca Seminars

I got a great reminder from Rick DeLuca this week.  It’s a tool that can really come in handy on listing appointments.

Rick explains.

“How many times have you told a seller something like this?  ‘I appreciate the fact you spent a lot of money on the (room addition, kitchen remodel, etc.), however in today’s real estate economy we’ll probably not recoup all the money you’ve spent.’

At that point they are not particularly happy with what you’ve said. Their opinion is if they spent $20,000 in improvements they expect at least $20,000 back, if not more.

Rather than you being the one to give them the “bad news,” use this resource. The experts at Remodel magazine serve as the ones to deliver the news. Check out the data at http://www.remodeling.hw.net/
